Full Review

I’ve played on and off at Sky Vegas for several years – maybe since around 2009’ish at a guess – and it’s rare you can play at an online casino for that long and say you haven’t encountered any issues but in Sky’s case, that’s the way it’s been. You may have noticed already it’s among my own personal list of the best online casinos I’ve found aswell but Sky Vegas won’t be right for everyone.

If you like playing slot machines or card games/roulette with live dealers then the chances are you will get on well at Sky Vegas but for more traditional single-player games like roulette, blackjack and bacarrat where live dealers aren’t involved, the choice here isn’t a patch on a casino like 32Red casino or the well regarded Microgaming software-driven casino, Roxy Palace.

For those players who like slots and live dealer games without the need to download any software (the entire Sky Vegas suite is browser-based, as is the disappointingly average mobile casino they offer) then I’d definitely recommend giving Sky Vegas a try. The service is good, payouts are fast and they have a good choice of land-based games. So let’s get into some more detail…

Games

Sky Vegas has slots from IGT (Cleopatra, Pharaoh’s Fortune, Kitty Glitter & Cats, Diamond Queen etc) and Novomatic (Book Of Ra, Lucky Lady’s Charm, Katana and Dolphin’s Pearl etc. which are also available at MyBet casino) and these complement nicely some other games like Rainbow Riches and Bar-X and provide a really good choice for slots players coming from land-based casinos. As I write, Sky Vegas doesn’t have the popular range of Diversity machines from Atronic (because they aren’t online yet) or the WMS slots you find at WMS Gaming’s own Jackpot Party casino but you won’t find any online casino with all those games anyway.

As for live dealer play, Sky Vegas’ live casino is relatively new and offers up the games you’d expect to find in any live online casino right now: roulette, blackjack and baccarat with the additional bonus of live casino hold’em when you get bored.

Loyalty Scheme

This is an area where Sky Vegas casino isn’t aprticularly strong if I’m honest. A number of the other casinos reviewed here offer better loyalty rewards ongoing than Sky but to be fair, there is the odd bonus and when it does come, the attached strings aren’t as strict as at other online casinos so I guess it’s swings and roundabouts.

As someone who doesn’t normally play with a bonus anyway (because of the wagering requirements restricting cashout opportunities) it doesn’t overly bother me although high rollers would probably appreciate the odd nos-trings bung every now again like you might get at somewhere like River Belle casino or on mobile at Royal Vegas. But there you go – you don’t get land-based slot games at those two like you do at Sky Vegas although the live dealer casino offering is similar.

Depositing & Withdrawing

Sky Vegas casino’s payouts, particularly to punters with a UK bank account, are standout! I’ve never had to wait more than 2 working days for a Sky cashout to reach my Natwest bank account and unlike some casinos, there is no reverse pending time to wait through either. Definitely one of the best online casinos I have reviewed or played from that point of view.

Deposit options at Sky Vegas are a bit limited though and it tends to be the more traditional methods + eWallets like Neteller which you have to use. Plus, you have to withdraw to the method you used to deposit due to UK gambling commission money-laundering regulations (Sky Vegas is licenced in Alderney which is very strict on this too but an Alderney licence is also good news for player assurance).

Conclusion

If you want a selection of land-based slots or live dealer games then Sky Vegas is one of two options I’d recommend, the other being Paddy Power Games. If you play mostly slot games and want a more detailed opinion, check out the Sky Vegas review at slots.org.uk which has (unsurprsingly!) a slots-focused slant.

If you spend a lot of time playing single player card games then there are better options as far as depth of choice goes (see above) but when it comes to service and cashouts – assuming they accept players from your country (UK is OK!) – Sky Vegas casino is an excellent choice and a place I have played, and will continue to play, myself for years, of that I’m sure.
